Ashin-do Kai was introduced to David Lloyd Leisure in September 1989. The success of Ashin-do Kai has enabled the club to expand into a network of other Martial Arts clubs in a partnership as the International Martial Arts Academy. The academy is recognised as an international organisation and is a member of the AMA UK.  The Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Association is a follower of authentic Wado-Ryu Karate-Do, as founded by Grand Master Hironori Ohtsuka. Ashin-do Kai also has an international presence with clubs running in Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania and Slovakia.

Our students have enjoyed considerable success at national and international events and we are very proud of their commitment and achievements.

Ashin-do Kai run classes at David Lloyd for both adults and children, beginners and advanced using traditional teaching methods. Karate can help in so many areas of your life - in your health and fitness and also in confidence and stamina. Our galleries contain pictures of both kids and adults taking part in training sessions as well as photographs from various tournaments Ashin-do Kai students have successfully taken part in.

Term forms will be issued at the start of every term and should be paid on the first day of training.
